Causeway Club Men’s Twilight League Guidelines
Substitute Player Policy
The use of substitute golfers will be discouraged this session. Teams using substitute golfers will be penalized one point for the absent member.
Players with anticipated or unanticipated absences are encouraged to negotiate an alternative date for the match with their opponent. This negotiation must be finalized prior to the originally scheduled match. If an alternative match cannot be negotiated, a substitute golfer should be acquired or the match will be forfeited. Substitute golfers can be solicited with the assistance of Matt LaHaye.
Any successfully rescheduled match, must be completed in the week prior to, or the week following the originally scheduled match.
A Handicap assessment is being conducted by league member Bill Thurston. Standard criteria will be applied in the readjustment of all league member handicaps. The result of this accounting process will be to establish fair and accurate handicaps for all league members.
The following criteria will be used throughout the second session for any handicap adjustments which may occur.
Cutting Strokes: Any golfer who records a net score of three under par for the round, will have their handicap reduced by one stroke, to be applied the following week. In addition to this policy, any golfer recording a net score of two under par for two consecutive weeks, will have their handicap reduced by one stroke.
Adding Strokes: Any golfer who records a net score of four over par for two consecutive weeks, will have their handicap increased by one stroke. Scores recorded in the use of this particular formula may only be used once in the handicap adjustment process.
Flight Winner Policy
The golfer who accumulates the most points in his particular flight for the session will receive the appropriate prize regardless of his team’s overall standing at the conclusion of the session.
